Mid week musings (lessons learned quick recovery)

My last two races were on back to back weekends. So a quick recovery was crucial. Here’s some key points I found to be true during this process.


Your body remembers a great deal and quickly. I was ready by mid week to do a 5k walk & prepare for the next race.

Be aware of how your body recovers when your races aren’t back to back. If your races are more frequent you’ll have to be careful. More rest less stress on your legs or shorter distances more often.

Anything feel off just stop.

The biggest point of this lesson is, awareness, rest & stress are the keys to your race plan.
